Prisoners for profit, Puppy Mills are not a life for a dog, more a Life Sentence. Don’t buy from Puppy Mills!
Guys, when you buy one of those adorable little puppies from a pet store, this is what you’re supporting. And worse. Please always adopt your fur-babies from a shelter. Puppy mills need to end, and it’s not going to happen as long as people keep buying from pet stores.
If you absolutely must have a pure-bred dog (such as the hypoallergenic poodle) always buy from a trustworthy breeder, not a store. A true breeder can give you records of your dog’s bloodlines, runs a fairly small operation which you can usually visit, breeds only one type of dog, and LOVES that dog. My aunt and uncle bred bull mastiffs for many years, out of pure love for the breed. Small breeders do their work in a way that benefits the dogs. Mills and stores? Not so much.
